I'm Laura, currently studying Surface Design at Huddersfield.
I specialise in surface structured embroidery creating surface solutions for
the interiors market. I am inspired by textures and tactile products that allow
people to be involved and
interact with the surface.
My latest work was inspired by human textures such
as skin and hair where I created a range of tactile samples which were exhibited
at the Surface Design Show in London. I will be following the same concept
for my final major, creating innovative designs, combining materials for
floor, walls and furniture applications.
