Victoria White Surface Design

I'm Vicky, a final year Surface Design student at Huddersfield University. I design surfaces for interiors, my work often incorporates techniques such as embroidery and print. For my Final Major Project, I am exploring layering and mixed media to hopefully create narrative wallcoverings.

Laura White - Surface Design

I'm Laura, I'm studying Surface Design at the University of Huddersfield. I am currently using print and stitching to design interior surfaces for my final major project. My work takes inspiration from photography and vintage cameras, and I'm experimenting with the concept of revealing through interaction.

Lauren Ross Surface Design

I am Lauren, Final Year in Surface Design. I am passionate about design, pattern and colour. For my final major project, i am concentrating on Surface Pattern Design. I am focusing on the interiors market and i have a keen interest in Wallpaper Design.
My Degree Show will show a collection of my designs used in various different ways, they will be digitally printed on paper, fabric and designs for home-ware will be included.

Here is a sample of my development work.

Laura Greenwood Surface Design

I'm Laura, currently studying Surface Design at Huddersfield. I specialise in surface structured embroidery creating surface solutions for the interiors market. I am inspired by textures and tactile products that allow people to be involved and interact with the surface.

My latest work was inspired by human textures such as skin and hair where I created a range of tactile samples which were exhibited at the Surface Design Show in London. I will be following the same concept  for my final major, creating innovative designs, combining materials for floor, walls and furniture applications.

Katie Soponski - Surface Design

I'm Katie, and I currently study Surface Design at Huddersfield University. I develop collections for interior spaces specialising in print, embroidery and 3D structure.  My work takes inspiration from unusual and unexpected details found in natural forms, colour and tactile surfaces. The above collection was recently exhibited at The Surface Design show in London and I aim to develop the techniques further to create a collection of tactile interior panels for the 2013 Degree Show.

Janine Singleton - Surface Design

I'm Janine, I specialise in Print Design and am really inspired by colour (especially florescent pink/orange). I create print designs for fashion using  both traditional screen print along with digital. The image above shows a range of fashion fabrics inspired by motion blur, fractured light and prismatic colour. I am currently working on a contrasting project for the 2013 Degree Show.
